YÖKAK (Yükseköğretim Kalite Kurulu Başkanlığı)



Istanbul Gedik University has been accredited by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) under the Institutional Accreditation Program, officially certifying its quality assurance in higher education. This accreditation demonstrates our university’s steadfast commitment to maintaining national and international quality standards in its educational, research, and administrative processes. We thank all our stakeholders who strive for excellence in education.

MEDEK (Mesleki Eğitim Değerlendirme ve Akreditasyon Derneği)


It is an institution that evaluates and accredits vocational school programs in Turkey for compliance with quality standards. MEDEK, authorized by YÖKAK, aims to ensure that programs comply with national and international standards.

The 17 programs offered by Istanbul Gedik University Vocational School have been evaluated by MEDEK in terms of compliance with established standards, quality criteria, and performance measures, and have earned accreditation as of January 1, 2025.

İLEDAK (İletişim Eğitimi Değerlendirme ve Akreditasyon Kurulu)


It is a national accreditation organization recognized by YÖKAK that evaluates the quality standards of journalism, public relations, radio-television, and new media programs in communication faculties.

Istanbul Gedik University Vocational School Graphic Design Program, It has earned accreditation from İLEDAK, which aims to improve quality and raise standards in communication education.

Istanbul Gedik University Faculty of Architecture and Design Visual Communication and Design Undergraduate Program has been accredited for a period of two (2) years, valid from March 12, 2025, to March 12, 2027, and has earned the right to receive the ILAD Accreditation Certificate./p>

TURAK (Turizm Eğitimi Değerlendirme ve Akreditasyon Kurulu)

It is a national accreditation organization recognized by YÖKAK that evaluates the quality standards of undergraduate programs in the field of tourism (tourism guiding, gastronomy, etc.)..

Within Istanbul Gedik University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Our department has earned full accreditation for its compliance with the standards, quality criteria, and performance measures established by TURAK (Tourism Education Evaluation and Accreditation Board).

STAR (Sosyal Beşerî ve Temel Bilimler Akreditasyon ve Rating Derneği)

It is a national accreditation organization recognized by YÖKAK that ensures the quality assurance of undergraduate programs in the fields of science, literature, and social sciences.

Our Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences; “International Trade and Finance (English)” The department has earned STAR Accreditation for 5 years..

FEDEK (Fen, Edebiyat, Fen- Edebiyat, Dil ve Tarih- Coğrafya Fakülteleri Öğretim Programları Değerlendirme ve Akreditasyon Derneği)

It is a nationally recognized accreditation organization by YÖKAK that ensures the quality assurance of undergraduate programs in the fields of basic sciences and social sciences.

Our Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences; “Psychology” The department has earned the right to be accredited under the FEDEK Accreditation program.

EQUALS (Excellence in Language Education)


It is a European-based accreditation organization that assesses the compliance of language education programs with international quality standards and is structured according to the CEFR.

  • Our School of Foreign Languages, It has been accredited until 2029 by EAQUALS (Evaluation and Accreditation of Quality Language Services), which sets international quality standards in language education and is recognized by YÖKAK.

It is a prestigious Swiss-based accreditation agency that evaluates the compliance of higher education programs in the fields of business, economics, law, and social sciences with international quality standards.

MİAK (Mimarlık Eğitimi Akreditasyon Derneği)


It is a national accreditation organization recognized by YÖKAK that evaluates the educational quality of architecture degree programs.
