Physical Education and Sports Teaching

The Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching aims to educate physical education and sports teachers who are qualified to teach children with different abilities by using various and effective teaching methods.

With the program prepared in line with contemporary education approaches, the department provides students with the ability to prepare and implement programs that will support children’s movement, cognitive, social and emotional development by using games and sports methods.

50% of the department courses consists of “field courses” such as physical fitness, health information and first aid; “major area courses” such as introduction to education, educational psychology, and “general knowledge courses” such as Total Quality Management, Entrepreneurship and 20% of the department courses.  66% of the courses in our curriculum is theoretical and 34% is applied courses.
