Our Faculty Represented at the 6th International European Association for the Philosophy of Sport Conference

Research Assistant Defne Ezgi Akkaya Boyraz from the Department of Sports Management at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Istanbul Gedik University, delivered an oral presentation at the 6th International European Association for the Philosophy of Sport Conference, held at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa from April 28 to 30, 2025.

Her presentation, titled “Women and Sport: Is a Fair Space Possible in the Shadow of Male-Dominated Mentality?”, offered philosophical and sociological insights into gender equality and representation issues in sport. The study drew attention to the structural challenges faced by women and contributed to the ongoing academic discourse on justice and inclusivity in sports.

By participating in such a prestigious international conference, our faculty continues to enhance its academic visibility in the field of sport philosophy.
