Scientific Achievement by Our Academic: High-Evidence Study Published in an International Journal
The scientific study of Prof. Dr. Esra Doğru Hüzmeli, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Health Sciences of Istanbul Gedik University, has been published in “The Cerebellum,” one of the respected academic journals indexed in SCI-E and scanned in Web of Science.
Titled “Functional Assessment of the Subjects with Unertan Syndrome: 10 Years Follow-Up Study,” the article was featured in this Q3-ranked journal, gaining attention with both its scientific contribution and methodological rigor.
The Cerebellum is a highly regarded international journal in the field of neuroscience, publishing original studies on cerebellar disorders, motor control, and rare neurological syndromes. Being published in such a journal underscores not only the scientific value of the study but also its global impact.
High-Level Scientific Evidence with 10 Years of Follow-Up
This original study, co-authored by Prof. Dr. Hüzmeli, presents a comprehensive functional assessment of individuals diagnosed with the rare Unertan Syndrome, based on 10 years of follow-up data. With its long-term monitoring, objective evaluation tools, and methodological strength, the study is considered a high-evidence research work.
Additionally, the fact that the participants were able to use both Turkish and Kurdish languages, albeit in a limited way, brings a new perspective to the literature on language ability and neurological development. The findings also emphasize the contribution of personalized rehabilitation programs to the improvement of quality of life.
We congratulate Prof. Dr. Esra Doğru Hüzmeli on this outstanding academic achievement and wish her continued success in her scientific endeavors.
