Hello from IGUN-TOMER!
As the Center for Turkish Language Teaching, Research, and Practice at Istanbul Gedik University, we are pleased to offer our students who wish to learn Turkish a high-quality, modern, and student-centered learning environment.
At IGIN-TOMER, our goal is not only for our students to learn Turkish theoretically but also to use it correctly, effectively, and with confidence in academic, social, and everyday life. To this end, our courses -ranging from A1 to C1 levels- develop reading, listening, writing, and speaking skills through a holistic approach.
Our center aims to support the adaptation process of students from different countries to life in Türkiye, strengthen cross-cultural communication, and contribute to the international dissemination of the Turkish language. Our courses are designed based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and are supported by communication-focused activities, cultural content, social events, and practical exercises.
In the educational activities we conduct at our Kartal campus, we operate with our experienced academic staff, a disciplined approach to teaching, and a student-centered philosophy. While teaching Turkish, we prioritize helping our students learn about Turkish culture, participate in social life, and express themselves more confidently in Türkiye.
At IGUN-TOMER, we believe that learning a language is a gateway to a new world. Our goal is for every student who passes through this gateway to become an individual who can use Turkish with confidence, possesses well-developed intercultural communication skills, and adapts more easily to academic or social life in Türkiye.
