Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz Akçay Balcı Selected for the 2026 Rotary Peace Fellowship,

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz Akçay Balcı, a faculty member of the Department of Visual Communication Design at Istanbul Gedik University, Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, has been selected for the 2026 Rotary Peace Fellowship, one of the most prestigious internatioal peace scholarships in the world.

The Rotary Peace Fellowship is awarded annually to approximately 130 peace leaders worldwide and aims to foster expertise in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and social change leadership.

Graduates of the program earn the title “Rotary Peace Fellow,” which is recognized globally as a highly respected credential in both academic and civil society circles.

To date, Rotary Peace Fellows have served in leadership positions at international organizations such as the United Nations, UNESCO, the World Bank, and many others, contributing to the fields of peace diplomacy, social development, human rights, and social innovation.
