Assist. Prof. Kusay Tatlı & Res. Asst. Eylül Ezgi Türker Tatlı Presented a Paper at the 13th International Communication Days Symposium

Assist. Prof. Kusay Tatlı and Res. Asst. Eylül Ezgi Türker Tatlı from the Department of Visual Communication Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Istanbul Gedik University, presented a paper during the 13th International Communication Days Symposium titled “Artificial Intelligence in Communication: Theory and Practice,” organized in collaboration with Üsküdar University and Lefke Avrupa University.
In the paper titled “A Cybernetic Allegory on Artificial Intelligence in the Series Pluribus,” representations of artificial intelligence within contemporary screen narratives, human-machine relationships, and the reflections of cybernetic thought in visual storytelling were discussed. Through the series Pluribus, the study examined the social, cultural, and philosophical dimensions of artificial intelligence while also addressing the effects of algorithmic systems on individual identity and perceptions of reality.
Presented within the session titled “Screen Narratives in the Digital Age: Artificial Intelligence, Human, and Society,” the study approached the transformation of AI representations in contemporary media productions through an interdisciplinary perspective within the framework of cybernetic theory.

The academic study aimed to provide a critical evaluation of AI-themed narratives within today’s media ecosystem while contributing to current discussions on digital culture, technology, and human relations.
