Call for Papers: International Scientific Symposium (HERGC 2026)

A call for papers has been announced for the International Scientific Symposium 2026 (HERGC 2026), organized by “Constantin Brâncuși” University of Târgu Jiu in Romania, one of the partner universities of Istanbul Gedik University.

The symposium, titled “Horizons of Economic Research in a Global Context,” aims to address various dimensions of economic research within a global framework through an interdisciplinary approach. Prof. Dr. Kutluhan Bozkurt, Director of our Center, is also a member of the scientific and advisory board of the symposium. The event will cover a wide range of topics, including economic development and structural change, competitiveness and innovation, the digital economy and AI-driven transformation, green transition policies, labour markets, tourism economics, as well as social inclusion and welfare economics.

The symposium will be held on 16 May 2026, and participants are expected to submit an extended abstract. Submissions must be prepared in English and comply with the specified format (2 or 4 pages).

The important dates for the submission process are as follows:

Extended abstract submission deadline: 5 April 2026

Notification of acceptance: 10 April 2026

Registration deadline: 16 April 2026

Symposium date: 16 May 2026

Participation in the symposium is free of charge. Accepted abstracts will be published in the book of abstracts, and full papers will have the opportunity to be considered for publication in partner academic journals.
