Center Activities:
- Conducting research, investigations, measurements, and monitoring studies regarding energy resources, developing new methods, and contributing to ongoing studies,
- Collaborating with regional, national, and international organizations on energy topics, as well as tracking and conducting relevant studies,
- Identifying, examining, and researching problems related to resources utilized in energy technologies, while promoting and supporting ongoing research; organizing courses, seminars, conferences, congresses, symposiums, and similar meetings at regional, national, and international levels concerning these studies, and submitting recommendations to relevant entities,
- Planning and conducting research required by public and private organizations in the field of energy technologies and applications, ensuring inter-institutional coordination, and carrying out investigations, laboratory testing, expert reports, and related tasks regarding pertinent issues,
- Conducting all types of internal and external correspondence in line with standard procedures to carry out scientific and technical activities in energy science and technologies; publishing reports, bulletins, projects, books, journals, and similar materials aimed at developing educational and managerial tools that disclose scientific and technical data,
- Planning, manufacturing, performance-testing, and certifying systems and components related to energy technologies and resources in collaboration with industry,
- Conducting training and certification activities for professionals seeking to work in sustainable, renewable, and non-renewable energy programs and similar frameworks; issuing certificates upon completion of these training programs, running initiatives such as the building energy manager certification program, and coordinating and cooperating with relevant non-governmental organizations,
- Collaborating on projects with domestic and international universities, and creating opportunities for national and international student and faculty exchanges,
- Providing public institutions, organizations, and the private sector with research, consultancy, project development, design, manufacturing, repair, maintenance, and related services concerning energy technologies, efficient and effective energy utilization, and renewable energy deployment,
- Publishing study and research results in national and international science and technology journals, and releasing periodic and non-periodic publications,
- Carrying out studies and executing projects to transfer state-of-the-art renewable energy technologies to our country,
- Manufacturing, performance-testing, and certifying systems and components related to renewable energy sources within the framework of cooperation between the Center, technoparks, and industry,
- Planning and executing research and applications required by public and private entities regarding the potential, viability, and efficiency of our country’s renewable energy resources, while ensuring coordination across institutions,
- Instilling research and development awareness in university students, supporting research conducted on renewable energy within the university, and raising public awareness and understanding regarding renewable energy,
- Ensuring collaboration, joint initiatives, and the exchange of scientific and technical information and services between the Center and other centers, institutes, and universities,
- Coordinating research and utilization efforts regarding renewable energy resources in the Pendik district and its surrounding areas,
- Developing cooperation between the Center and relevant ministries, public institutions, and organizations regarding energy applications,
- Fulfilling other tasks and duties assigned by the Rectorate and authorized university boards.
