The European Union Application and Research Center (İGUAB) at Istanbul Gedik University was established in 2013 under the Rectorate of the University. The Center aims to raise awareness within the university and the broader public on topics related to EU–Turkey relations as well as European culture, identity, norms, institutions, politics, law, history, and economy.
Through interdisciplinary research, projects, and various academic and public activities, the Center seeks to contribute to a deeper theoretical and practical understanding of the multifaceted nature of European integration. In this context, İGUAB establishes strategic partnerships and institutional collaborations at local, regional, national, and international levels. It also develops structured dialogue projects that support youth and education policy reforms in line with EU objectives, while promoting learning mobility and supporting initiatives in these areas.
