Common Courses Department was established to ensure the delivery and coordination of Turkish Language, Principles of Atatürk and History of the Revolution, and Foreign Language (English) courses, which are compulsory under Article 5(ı) of Law No. 2547 of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), including for students with foreign student status (YÖS). Within this scope, the relevant courses are listed under the Rectorate Service courses. Our courses are conducted through our university’s Distance Education System (synchronously and/or asynchronously).
The compulsory common courses in our department aim to increase our students’ knowledge and competence in the relevant fields. Curricula are designed to help our students and graduates gain a stronger foothold in the modern world by supporting their knowledge from past to present, using language and communication techniques correctly, and developing their communication skills in a foreign language (English) on national and international platforms.
