The aim of the Political Science and Public Administration PhD Program is to raise new scholars who will be able to make sophisticated research, application, and publication in their relevant academic fields. The main reason for the opening of the program is the experience the department and its staff have acquired in years with its undergraduate and graduate (MA) programs. In addition, in order to increase scientific publications in Turkish language, a new program offered by a foundation university could be beneficial. Moreover, in a metropolitan city like Istanbul, there are millions of young students who are in need of good orientation and academic education.
