As the Software Engineering Department at Istanbul Gedik University, our goal is to educate software engineers who possess strong theoretical knowledge, analytical thinking skills, innovative problem-solving abilities, a commitment to ethical values, and a lifelong learning mindset. Our curriculum covers fundamental areas such as programming, algorithms, data structures, database systems, software analysis and design, software architecture, project management, and human-computer interaction. In addition, it is enriched with courses on emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, mobile and web application development, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and game programming.
Our students have the opportunity to transform theoretical knowledge into practical experience through our modern laboratories and project-based learning approach. This enables them to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems. Supported by our experienced and highly qualified academic staff, students actively participate in research projects, entrepreneurial initiatives, and industry-oriented activities, fostering both their academic and personal development.
