As Gedik Vocational School Architectural Restoration Program, in order to make a difference in the preservation of cultural heritage and play an active role in the restoration processes, we ensure that students graduate with knowledge about restoration theory and architectural concepts with practical demonstrations as well as theoretical courses in our education.
The architectural restoration program is a two-year associate degree program that educates individuals who have historical and cultural value, who will ensure the preservation and restoration of architectural works with scientific methods.
Our program focuses on practical training as well as theoretical training. In addition to teaching traditional architectural methods, computerized drawing methods developed with today’s technological developments are also taught as education method. Important computer applications such as Autocad, Photoshop, Sketchup, 3Dmax, among architectural computer programs, are offered to students.
It is aimed that the students who graduate from our program are competent in every subject in the field of architecture. Students who graduate from the program gain the title of Architectural Restoration Technician or Restorer.
In addition to these, students who want to continue their academic life while offering the opportunity to work in the sector can transfer to departments such as Architecture, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Traditional Turkish Handcrafts with the DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam) and become a 4-year undergraduate degree.
