Word Battle at SFL: Vocab Battle Energizes the Conference Hall

On March 4, SFL students competed with words in the Vocab Battle event; after four exciting sessions, Group 3 emerged as the winning team.

Students of the School of Foreign Languages at Istanbul Gedik University came together on March 4, 2026, for the Vocab Battle event held in the conference hall. In this energetic and enjoyable competition, students tested their English vocabulary while working together with their teammates and enjoying a lively atmosphere.

Throughout the four-session competition, teams completed tasks such as listening to words and writing them correctly, as well as responding quickly under time pressure. The excitement of the students and the strong team spirit filled the hall, with applause and laughter adding to the dynamic atmosphere of the event.

At the end of the competition, Group 3 – Kahlo, Bronte and Einstein teams claimed first place.

The Vocab Battle event once again demonstrated that learning English can go beyond the classroom and become an engaging and collaborative experience for students.
