National Records from Our Students

First-year students from the Coaching Education Department of the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Istanbul Gedik University achieved outstanding success by breaking national records at the Selahattin Yıldız Indoor Cup & Indoor Record Trial Competitions, held in Istanbul on December 27–28.

Our athlete Ömer Hamza Yalçın set a new U18 Turkish Indoor Record in the 1000 m, finishing the race in 2:30.11 and surpassing the previous record of 2:30.33, which was held by Muhammed Enes Yalçın.

Another student-athlete, Muhammed Enes Yalçın, also delivered a remarkable performance in the 600 m, recording a time of 1:20.61 to break the U18 Turkish Indoor Record, previously set at 1:21.59 by Muhammed Esad Ayna.
