“HISBES: Health and Nutrition for Everyone” Event Held

The peer education event titled “HISBES: Health and Nutrition for Everyone”, organized with the initiative of the students of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics and in which the students took an active role as both listeners and speakers, attracted great attention.

In this special event designed with a vision that prioritizes public health, 3 dietitians who are experts in their fields shared their knowledge and experiences with the students, while 3 Nutrition and Dietetics students contributed to the event with presentations based on their own research and experiences. Thus, the students had the opportunity to both listen to expert speeches that contributed to their professional development and to actively share information.

As part of the event, topics such as current approaches in the field of nutrition and health, difficulties encountered in dietetic practices and the importance of communication within the profession were discussed. This event, organized with a peer education approach, not only increased the students’ professional awareness but also contributed to their self-confidence development.

Professional knowledge, solidarity and inspiration came together with “HISBES”. We would like to thank all our speakers who contributed to the event and our students who took part in the organization.
