FOSECO Ferrous Foundry Days Event and Productive Meetings

Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Doruk Gürkan attended the FOSECO Ferrous Foundry Days event held on June 24-25, 2025, at the İstanbul Marriott Hotel Pendik. This significant event addressed the latest technological developments in iron and steel casting processes, providing valuable information on topics such as coatings, inoculants, feeder sleeves, and resin systems.

During the event, Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Gürkan had the opportunity to engage in productive discussions with various industry officials. In particular, he met with representatives from Gedik İleri Döküm Teknolojileri, exchanging ideas on industry innovations and potential collaborations. These discussions were noted as being highly beneficial, both in terms of technical depth and sectoral strategies.

Within the scope of the event, notable presentations included “Sectoral Policies and New Domestic Goods Communiqué” by Mr. Ahmet Türkaslan (Acting Head of Metal Industry and Critical Materials Department, Ministry of Industry and Technology), moderated by Mr. Seyfi Değirmenci, and “2024 Metal Casting Industry Assessment” by Tunçağ Cihangir Şen (Association Secretary General). The presentation by Magma Bilişim on cost management in iron and steel casting also provided valuable insights.
