Prof. Dr. Esra Doğru Hüzmeli’s Article Published in the Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare

The scientific study titled “Investigation of the Validity and Reliability of Tele-Assessment of Upper Extremity Functions in Individuals with Stroke,” co-authored by Prof. Dr. Esra DOĞRU HÜZMELİ, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Istanbul Gedik University, Faculty of Health Sciences, has been published in the Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare, one of the respected international journals in its field indexed in Web of Science SCI-E Q2.

The study investigated the validity and reliability of tele-assessment methods for evaluating upper extremity functions in individuals with stroke. In the study, face-to-face assessment and video-based tele-assessment methods were compared, and the remote applicability of clinical assessment tools was evaluated. The findings revealed that tele-assessment is a valid and reliable assessment method in stroke rehabilitation and offers an important alternative, particularly for the functional evaluation of individuals with limited access to healthcare services.
