Prof. Dr. Esra Doğru Hüzmeli Delivered a Presentation at the MSPTR 2026 Symposium

Prof. Dr. Esra Doğru Hüzmeli, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Istanbul Gedik University, participated as an invited speaker at the VIII Symposium on Physiotherapy and Neurorehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis (MSPTR 2026), held in Diyarbakır between February 13–15, 2026.

The symposium, which focused on physiotherapy and neurorehabilitation approaches in multiple sclerosis, brought together leading academics and clinicians in the field and provided an important platform for sharing current scientific developments. It also stood out as a significant scientific event where multidisciplinary approaches in neurorehabilitation were discussed.

As part of the scientific program, Prof. Dr. Esra Doğru Hüzmeli delivered a presentation titled “Balance and Fall Prevention Programs.” In her presentation, she shared up-to-date information on the assessment of balance impairments in individuals with multiple sclerosis, identification of fall risk factors, and evidence-based fall prevention strategies. She also emphasized the contribution of individualized rehabilitation programs to functional independence and quality of life.

The symposium, attended by many distinguished academics, contributed to the exchange of current knowledge and experience in the field of physiotherapy and neurorehabilitation. The active participation of our faculty members in such scientific events is considered important for increasing academic visibility and strengthening scientific collaborations.
