Istanbul Gedik University on the Global Stage of Migration
The Migration Conference 2025, the world’s most comprehensive academic event on migration studies, was held between June 11–17, 2025, at the University of Greenwich in London — a symbolic location situated on the Prime Meridian. Bringing together participants from over 77 countries, the conference featured both academic presentations and high-level discussions on migration, globalization, and mobility.
Dr. Aytaç Uğur Yerden, a faculty member at Istanbul Gedik University, took part in the conference as a session chair and presenter, representing our institution at this major international academic platform.

Dr. Aytaç Uğur Yerden presented a joint paper titled
“A Research on the Effect of Digital Immigrants’ and Digital Natives’ Attitudes Towards Innovation on Their Purchase Intentions”,
co-authored with Dr. Nevin Karabıyık Yerden from Marmara University. He also served as the moderator of the “Business, Economics, Development” session, further contributing to the conference’s scientific discourse.
