DR. KIVANÇ ALI ANIL ATTENDED THE COMMISSIONING CEREMONY OF NAVAL PLATFORMS

Assistant Prof. Dr. Kıvanç Ali Anıl attended the “Commissioning, Ensign Hoisting and First Steel Cutting Ceremony of Naval Platforms”, held on 20 December 2025 at the Istanbul Shipyard Command, as an invited guest.

At the ceremony held with the participation of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; PNS Khaibar, built within the scope of the Pakistan MILGEM Project, was delivered to the Pakistan Navy, while the ensign was hoisted on Koçhisar, built within the scope of the Offshore Patrol Vessel Project. The commissioning of the Hızırreis submarine, Ç-159 landing craft, and the ULAQ Unmanned Surface Vehicle was announced.

During the ceremony, our President carried out the first steel cutting of OPV-7 Seferihisar, the seventh vessel of the Offshore Patrol Vessel Project. Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Commander of the Pakistan Navy, also attended the ceremony, during which the commanding officers received the flags and pennants of the newly commissioned platforms.
