Dr. Çağla Pınarlı Falakacılar’s Article Published in Lokman Hekim Health Sciences, a Journal Indexed in TR Dizin
The scientific study entitled “Assessment of Perceived Food Literacy among Individuals with Diabetes: A Cross-Sectional Study,” co-authored by Dr. Çağla Pınarlı Falakacılar, a faculty member in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Faculty of Health Sciences at Istanbul Gedik University, was published in Lokman Hekim Health Sciences, a journal indexed in TR Dizin and numerous international indexes.
The study assessed perceived food literacy among individuals with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and examined its relationship with sociodemographic and anthropometric characteristics. The research identified age, sex, education, body mass index, and type of diabetes as important factors associated with food literacy. The study highlights the importance of personalized nutrition education approaches for individuals with diabetes in improving food literacy and supporting diabetes self-management.
