Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design – “Design Process in Branded Residential Projects: The Laurus Bodrum Case” Event Held

The Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Istanbul Gedik University, Faculty of Architecture and Design, held an online event titled “Design Process in Branded Residential Projects: The Laurus Bodrum Case” on October 26, 2026.

The event focused on the design process, concept development, material selection, and spatial decisions in branded residential projects, using the Laurus Bodrum project as a case study. The design approach and implementation process were discussed, with particular emphasis on the relationship between aesthetics, functionality, and user needs in residential design.

Moderated by Research Assistant Bahtiyar POSTA, the event featured Gülşiir ÇAKMAK, Interior Architect and Design Manager at Gönye Design, as the guest speaker. Çakmak shared her professional experience and insights into the project development process with the participants.
