Underwater Technology Student Presents at International Scientific Conference

Orkun Kurt, a student of the Underwater Technology Program at Istanbul Gedik University Vocational School, has achieved a significant international success with a scientific study prepared under the supervision of Dr. Ata Aksu.

Kurt presented his English-language paper titled “HPNS Diving Disease Occurring During Deep Dives; A Review Research” online at the 7th International Latin America Scientific Research Conference held in Peru on June 4–5, 2025.

Focusing on High Pressure Neurological Syndrome (HPNS), which occurs during deep dives, this comprehensive review stands out as a notable and original contribution to its field. The presentation demonstrated both the student’s technical competence and our university’s scientific productivity on an international platform.
