Department Orientation Program Held for Nursing Students

The Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences of Istanbul Gedik University organized a Department Orientation Program on September 17, 2026, with the aim of supporting nursing students’ adaptation to university and department life, providing information about the department’s educational activities, and increasing students’ awareness of academic processes.

The orientation program was attended by Prof. Dr. Şükrü Palanduz, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences; Asst. Prof. Dr. Tuba Çatak, Head of the Department of Nursing; Asst. Prof. Dr. Emir Avşar, Deputy Head of the Department of Nursing; as well as faculty members and academic staff of the Department of Nursing.

During the program, students were provided with information about the educational structure of the Department of Nursing, academic processes, theoretical and clinical practice courses, available student opportunities, and academic and social activities organized by the department. The program also addressed students’ questions and concerns regarding university and department life, while providing guidance to support their academic development.

The orientation program provided an interactive environment in which students had the opportunity to meet the academic staff and directly discuss their questions regarding departmental and academic processes.

The Department of Nursing aims to continue its student-centered activities and initiatives that support students’ academic and professional development.
