“Current Approaches in Scoliosis” Discussed at “A Professor, A Case-IX” Event

The ninth session of the “A Professor, A Case” event series, organized by the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Istanbul Gedik University, was held on April 6, 2026, at the Halil Kaya Gedik Campus. The event comprehensively addressed the assessment of scoliosis and current physiotherapy approaches.

Moderated by Asst. Prof. Buse SERT, the event featured Specialist Physiotherapist Kadriye ŞAHİN YORGUN as the speaker, who shared valuable insights on clinical evaluation processes in scoliosis, conservative treatment approaches, and current rehabilitation practices. During the presentation, the importance of patient-specific assessment and individualized treatment planning was emphasized, and up-to-date approaches highlighted in the literature were supported with clinical examples.

The event, which attracted significant participation, provided students with the opportunity to gain important insights into both theoretical knowledge and clinical applications. It concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session.
