Career in Health Sciences: Multidisciplinary Approaches in Accessible Living Event Held

The extracurricular event titled “Career in Health Sciences: Multidisciplinary Approaches in Accessible Living”, organized by the Career and Guidance Center of Istanbul Gedik University, was held on May 6, 2026, at the Genç Ofis, Halil Kaya Gedik Campus.

The event focused on collaborative working processes among different disciplines in the field of accessible living, the importance of multidisciplinary approaches, and the career development processes of healthcare professionals.

The event was moderated by Prof. Dr. Esra Doğru Hüzmeli, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. The speakers included Dietitian and Occupational Therapist Aybüke Fırat Deregözü, Speech and Language Therapist Abdulkadir Kaynar, and Child Development Specialist Aleyna Taban.

During the event, the speakers shared their professional experiences with the students and provided information about multidisciplinary practices carried out in the field of accessible living. In addition, evaluations were made regarding interprofessional communication, collaborative healthcare practices, and field experiences among different health disciplines.

The event continued interactively with a question-and-answer session and attracted strong interest from the students, contributing to the enhancement of their professional awareness.
