“Career Days-2: A Roadmap from Graduation to Clinical Practice for Physiotherapists” Event Held

The extracurricular event titled “Career Days-2: A Roadmap from Graduation to Clinical Practice for Physiotherapists”, organized by the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Istanbul Gedik University, was held on May 4, 2026, at the Halil Kaya Gedik Campus.

The event was attended by fourth-year students of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and focused on professional processes after graduation, clinical working life, career planning, and stages of professional development.

Specialist Physiotherapist Hakan Özdemir, Chairman of the Board of Maraş Health Group, Vice Chairman of the MÜSİAD Health Sector Board, Founding Partner of Çamlıca Special Education, and President of the Functional Medicine Academy, participated as the guest speaker. The event was moderated by Prof. Dr. Esra Doğru Hüzmeli, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

During the event, students had the opportunity to gain insight into preparation for post-graduation clinical processes, career opportunities in the private sector, multidisciplinary approaches to healthcare, and the professional responsibilities of physiotherapists. The program also included experience-sharing and recommendations aimed at supporting students’ career planning.

The event continued interactively with a question-and-answer session and concluded with strong interest and participation from the students.
