A Meeting on “Culture and Cultural Interaction in Teaching Turkish as a Second/Foreign Language” Held at IGUN-TOMER

An online meeting titled “Culture and Cultural Interaction in Teaching Turkish as a Second/Foreign Language” was organized by the Istanbul Gedik University Turkish Education Application and Research Center (IGUN-TOMER) on December 5, 2025.

Prof. Dr. Gülnur AYDIN from Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University participated in the meeting as the guest speaker. The program was moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nerma ZAİMOVİC, the Director of IGUN-TOMER.

During the event, participants discussed the importance of cultural elements in teaching Turkish as a foreign language, the contribution of intercultural interaction to teaching processes, and the relationship between language and culture.
