Asst. Prof. Şeval Kayğusuz’s Research Published in an SSCI Q1 Journal
A scientific article titled “Final Whistle or Beyond? Temporal Dynamics of Anxiety and Psychological Recovery in Women’s Soccer,” in which Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Şeval Kayğusuz, a faculty member of our Faculty, is part of the research team, has been published in Frontiers in Psychology, an international journal ranked in the SSCI Q1 category.
According to the main findings of the study:
Psychological recovery is supported by athletes’ self-confidence and positive emotions,
Cognitive and somatic anxiety, negative emotions, and perceived match difficulty weaken psychological recovery,
As the season progresses, a process-oriented decline in athletes’ levels of psychological recovery is observed.
This study contributes to a deeper understanding of psychological processes in sport and offers important implications for coaches and sport psychologists, particularly in relation to season planning and psychological recovery interventions.
