Istanbul Gedik University Faculty of Sport Sciences Practical Outdoor Sports Camp Successfully Completed

The Practical Outdoor Sports Camp, organized by the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Istanbul Gedik University as a graduation requirement, was successfully held in Hisarönü, Marmaris, Muğla, between 10–14 June 2026 and 14–18 June 2026.

A total of 60 students participated in the camp, which was organized in two groups. The program was conducted under the supervision of the faculty members of the Faculty of Sport Sciences and the experienced instructors of the Wind Club Water Sports Center.

Throughout the camp, students actively participated in a variety of activities, including windsurfing, catamaran sailing, Stand Up Paddle (SUP), canoeing, trekking, and yoga. These activities enabled them to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice while further developing their skills and experience in outdoor and water sports. As part of the program, both groups also had the opportunity to explore Marmaris under the supervision of our faculty members.

From the moment of departure from Istanbul until the completion of the camp, our students fully complied with the camp regulations, demonstrated a high level of motivation throughout the training process, and successfully completed the program, thereby fulfilling one of the graduation requirements.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Camp Coordinator, Research Assistant Şerefcan Çakır, and the camp staff members, Assistant Professor Şeval Kayğusuz, Research Assistant Dr. Utku Tuna, and Research Assistant Çağatay Selçuk Karakaş, for their dedicated efforts in planning and conducting the camp. We also extend our gratitude to the experienced instructors of the Wind Club Hisarönü Water Sports Center for their valuable contributions to the safe and effective delivery of the training program.

Finally, we congratulate all of our students for their determination, discipline, and sense of responsibility throughout the camp and wish them continued success in their future professional careers.
