10 November Commemoration Ceremony for Atatürk Held at Halil Kaya Gedik Campus

The Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was commemorated on the 87th anniversary of his passing with a ceremony held at the Halil Kaya Gedik Campus.

The ceremony began at 9:05 a.m. with a moment of silence, followed by the singing of the Turkish National Anthem. It was attended by the academic and administrative staff as well as students from the Faculty of Sport Sciences and the Faculty of Health Sciences.

Following the moment of silence and the National Anthem, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Sport Sciences Prof. Dr. Esra Doğru Hüzmeli and Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Birol Özkalp delivered speeches emphasizing the significance of the day. In her speech, Prof. Dr. Hüzmeli highlighted Atatürk’s dedication to science, education, and sports, expressing their determination to continue walking in his footsteps. Prof. Dr. Özkalp, on the other hand, emphasized Atatürk’s vision for health, modernization, and social progress, stating that his principles continue to serve as a guiding light today.

The ceremony concluded with the participants once again expressing their deep respect and gratitude toward Atatürk.
