Digital Transformation in Industrial Robotics: Hands-on OLP and Collaborative Robot Seminar with RoboDK

We recently explored the world of robotic simulation and Offline Programming (OLP) the cornerstones of modern manufacturing at a seminar organized by the İstanbul Gedik University Robot Technology Research & Application Center (RTUM), the Gedik IEEE RAS Student Branch, and the Department of Mechatronics Engineering.

The event was moderated by RTUM Director Prof. Dr. Savaş Dilibal, and featured valuable insights from our guest speakers, Hüseyin Orhun Demir (Founder of Integva Technology) and Charlotte Martino (RoboDK), who joined us online.

Seminar Highlights & Key Outcomes:

• Real-World Case Studies: Using RoboDK, we analyzed critical processes including path planning, simulation, and the validation of complex robotic applications.
• Hands-on Learning: Attendees had the opportunity to build their own “Digital Twins” in a laboratory setting, gaining practical experience in real-world automation scenarios.
• Bridging Theory and Practice: The session provided a unique platform to connect academic learning with current industrial standards and visions.
