Prof. Dr. Esra Doğru Hüzmeli, Faculty Member of Our University’s Faculty of Health Sciences, Contributed Scientifically to the 61st National Neurology Congress

The 61st National Neurology Congress, which has been held for more than half a century and was organized for the 61st time this year, took place in Antalya between 13–17 December. Organized by the Turkish Neurological Society, the congress is recognized as one of the most prestigious scientific events within the neurology community in Türkiye. The congress addressed current approaches, research developments, and clinical practices in the field of neurological rehabilitation.

Prof. Dr. Esra Doğru Hüzmeli, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Istanbul Gedik University, Faculty of Health Sciences, participated in the scientific program as a speaker. She delivered a presentation titled “The Future of Aphasia Treatment” within the session “Rehabilitation of Aphasia and Speech Disorders”, and shared her knowledge and experience with participants through her presentation “Contemporary Applications Incorporating Restorative Approaches” in the “Restorative Neurology” session.

In addition, Prof. Dr. Esra Doğru Hüzmeli contributed to the scientific program by presenting one oral and one poster presentation. The oral presentation titled “Investigation of the Validity and Reliability of Tele-Assessment of Upper Extremity Functions in Individuals with Stroke” was shared during the congress. The poster presentation titled “The Effect of Smoking on Age of Stroke Onset, BDNF, and AMPK”, prepared by Prof. Dr. Esra Doğru Hüzmeli, Res. Asst. İlkay Tuğçe Köse, and Res. Asst. İrem Nur Usluer, was also presented.
