Our University Represented at 7th Defense Industry Meetings

7th Defense Industry Meetings, organized through the strategic cooperation of SAHA Istanbul and the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO), were held this year under the main theme of “Supply Chain and Sustainability in the Defense Industry,” one of the most critical topics in the defense sector. The event which took place on December 18, 2025 in Istanbul comprehensively addressed sustainable growth in the defense industry, the domestic and national production ecosystem and the future of strong supply chains. With the participation of leading industry representatives, public and private sector stakeholders and academics, the organization shed light on the current state and future vision of the defense industry.

Our university was represented at the event by Dr. Kıvanç Ali Anıl and Dr. Doruk Gürkan, faculty members of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Within the scope of the program, meetings were held with our university’s valued stakeholders in the defense industry ecosystem, during which ideas were exchanged on strengthening existing collaborations and exploring new opportunities for academic–industry cooperation. Featuring significant discussions on sustainability, supply security, and innovative solutions in the defense industry, the event contributed to our university’s vision of closely following sectoral developments and establishing strong ties with its stakeholders.
