The Team Including Our Visual Communication Design Student Furkan İlhan Won First Place in the “WAIKIKI CHALLENGERS 2026” Competition

The team including our 4th-year student Furkan İlhan from the Department of Visual Communication Design achieved significant success in the “WAIKIKI CHALLENGERS 2026” competition organized by LC Waikiki this year. Approximately 1,600 applications were submitted to the competition, and following the evaluation process, 88 students were selected to participate. Within the scope of the competition, a total of 11 different teams developed innovative projects for LC Waikiki’s XSIDE brand under the guidance of mentors.

During this process, the team “XSIDE COLLECTIVE,” which included our student Furkan İlhan, won first place with their project titled “XSIDE DROP.” The project stood out to the jury with its holistic approach, creative concept, and implementation-oriented perspective.

This achievement by the team including our student is an important indicator of creative thinking, teamwork, and sector-oriented project development skills. The project, developed under the guidance of mentors throughout the competition process, attracted attention with its innovative proposals for the XSIDE brand.
