Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz Akçay Balcı Presented at INCSOS 2025

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz Akçay Balcı, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hanzade Uralman, presented an academic paper at the 4th International Congress of Social Sciences (INCSOS) held in Antalya between May 16-19, 2025.

In their joint presentation titled “War, Displacement, and Gender: Mapping Academic Research on Women Refugees,” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Akçay Balcı and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uralman addressed the gender-based challenges faced by women refugees during war and forced migration processes from the perspective of academic literature. Their study offered a comprehensive analysis of the existing body of research and contributed to the scholarly discussion through an interdisciplinary approach.
