“Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in Aviation and Space” Event Held at the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation

The event titled “Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in Aviation and Space,” organized in collaboration with the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Student Club at Istanbul Gedik University, was held on April 27, 2026, at the Halil Kaya Gedik Campus.

Physiotherapist Cumali Altundağ participated as the speaker, while the session was moderated by Asst. Prof. Feride Atay. Within the scope of the program, physiotherapy practices in aviation and space, the requirements of working in this field, and the interdisciplinary nature of the profession were discussed.

During the talk, up-to-date information was shared, particularly regarding the physical loads experienced by individuals working in the aviation sector, performance requirements, and rehabilitation processes.

Participants had the opportunity to ask questions throughout the event, gaining awareness of the applications of physiotherapy beyond traditional clinical settings.

At the end of the event, the speaker was thanked for his contributions and was presented with a token of appreciation.
