LIGHT OF THE FUTURE: CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONALS

Within the scope of 20 May Child Development Day, Istanbul Gedik University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Child Development successfully held the ‘Career Ceremony 2’ event on Wednesday, 21 May, which witnessed meaningful and emotional moments.

Ceremony Research. Assist. Süreyya Özdeş and Research. Assist. Rabia Cemre Arslan moderated the ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by department students Gamze Nur Kuru and Hüseyin Yavuz Gökbayrak.

The programme started with the emotional farewell speeches of the 4th year faculty members for the graduating students.

During the event, a special slide show reflecting the activities and unforgettable memories of the students in the past years gave the participants emotional moments. Afterwards, the students of the department put on their professional aprons, symbolising the stepping into the profession of child development.

One of the most special moments of the ceremony was the presentation of Assist Prof. Tansen Taygur Altıntaş, Head of the Department, made the graduates recite the Professional Oath. After this moment, which made them feel the responsibility and meaning of the profession deeply, the students placed and blew 16 candles on their cakes to represent themselves while looking to the future with hope as a light from within.

The event ended with refreshments and sincere conversations with the participation of the families. These young professionals, who are dedicated to the field of child development, took their first steps into their professions with enthusiasm, pride and hope.
