“World Cuisines and Culture Day” Event at IGUN-TOMER

IGUN-TOMER (Istanbul Gedik University Turkish Education Application and Research Center) organized the “World Cuisines and Culture Day” event on 25 June 2025. The event took place in a vibrant and culturally rich atmosphere with the participation of international students actively continuing their education at the center.

In addition to IGUN-TOMER’s academic and administrative staff, academic and administrative personnel from various units of our university also attended the event. Aiming to enhance intercultural interaction, students gave presentations introducing the historical and cultural values of their respective countries. Following the presentations, traditional dance performances unique to different countries were showcased.

Participants had the opportunity to explore the flavors of different cultures through presentations in which students introduced traditional dishes from their home countries. The event concluded with a food-tasting session, leaving memories of a joyful day where diverse cultures came together.
