Mechatronics Engineering Department started its education life in 2012. The first under graduates of the department had been graduated in the academic year of 2015-2016.
Nowadays, the fundamental step for producing alternative solutions in engineering and academic research is to have interdisciplinary knowledge and experience. All engineering problems are involved with the combination of mechanical, electronic, control and software systems.
The purpose of the mechatronics engineering department is to enable students to gain theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the mechatronics systems applied on the varied fields.
The Mechatronics Engineering Department intends to provide the theoretical and practical education to the students with the modern classrooms, and computer laboratories. Students can use laboratory to practice varied industrial robots in Robot Technologies Application and Research Center. Furthermore, International Erasmus program and IAESTE programs are provided to study and internship abroad for the mechatronics engineering students.
RoboDK (https://robodk.com/) is used for simulation and offline programming of industrial robots in robot related classes at Istanbul Gedik University.
In addition, a protocol was signed between Istanbul Gedik University and the Istanbul Anatolian Side Organized Industrial Zone for the training and internship at IAYOSB.
This year, successful students are awarded with full scholarship at the Department of Mechatronics Engineering (English).
